About Ricky Falomir

Ricky Falomir (aka Ricky Fitness) is a Southern California native who has been drumming for as long as he can remember. He grew up in a musical family who were supportive of his interest in music and signed him up for his first drum lessons at 8 years old. He continued playing throughout school, participating in marching band, and jamming with friends in his garage.
In his early 20s, Falomir became an original member of the Riverside punk rock band Assorted Jelly Beans. The group developed a loyal following in Southern California, and in 1996 became the first release on the Kung Fu Records label with their self-titled debut album. While the group disbanded in 1999, they reunited nearly a decade later and continue to play periodically around Southern California.
In 2001, Falomir put on a rash guard and joined The Aquabats, assuming the identity of Ricky Fitness. Since joining the group, he has played on three albums and traveled to over 20 countries on tour.
Along with several other members of The Aquabats, Faolmir contributed to the children's television series Yo Gabba Gabba! Which was co-created by the band's frontman Christian Jacobs (aka the MC Bat Commander). Over the show's 4-season run, Falomir composed and arranged for the music-heavy series and made several on-screen appearances, both as costumed monsters and in his Ricky Fitness persona. From 2012 to 2014, Falomir also portrayed Ricky Fitness in The Aquabats' cable television series The Aquabats! Super Show!, where he also served as a composer for the series.
Outside of his duties as a member of The Aquabats, Falomir briefly served as a touring drummer for the Los Angeles reggae group The Aggrolites in 2009. In June 2014, he played drums for C. J. Ramone on an East Coast US tour alongside fellow Aquabats guitarist Ian Fowles.

HOW IT WORKS:

Please include your phone number and a current email address when placing your order. When we receive your lesson order, a member of the gloopy Industries team will reach out to you to set up your first lesson and ask some setup questions. Please be ready with answers to the following questions:

- What is the students playing experience?

- Will the student be using a practice pad or kit?

- What are the student's goals for the lesson(s)?

- If the lesson is for a kid, will Ricky Fitness or Ricky be teaching?

- What days and times are best for lessons? (please note, Ricky’s lesson schedule is currently weekdays only)
